What you should know about Disney Magic Express
Disney Magic Express is the bus transportation between the Orlando International Airport (MCO) and the Walt Disney World Resort. After placing your order for your Walt Disney World vacation, we will work with you on your flight details. Once your resort room reservation is linked with your flight information, Disney will send luggage tags to attach to each of your pieces of luggage.
On the day of your travel, attach the Disney provided yellow luggage tags to all your luggage that you check-in. Please remember to have your Disney Magic Bands (explained below) in your CARRY-ON as they will be needed when you arrive in Orlando. Board your plane and enjoy the flight. Once you have landed in Orlando on Level 3, make your way directly to Level 1 – Ground Transportation Side B. Follow the signs to Disney’s Magical Express. Check in for your transportation and you will be invited to board. Sit back and relax as your motorcoach takes you to your Disney Resort hotel (note, you may make multiple stops at other Disney properties before reaching your actual resort). Anticipate approximately 45-75 minutes to arrive at your hotel.
Tagged luggage will be collected by a cast member and will travel separately to your Disney resort hotel. Plan on it taking 3-4 hours before arriving to your room.
If arriving after 10:00 pm, claim your luggage at baggage claim on Level 2 and bring it with you to the motorcoach.
Departing Your Walt Disney World Resort
The day prior to check-out, you will receive a Disney’s Magical Express Transportation Notice with your motorcoach pick-up time and location in your room. Present that notice to your motorcoach driver to board your Disney’s Magical Express at your Disney Resort hotel.
Motorcoach pick-up times are scheduled approximately three (3) hours prior to your flight departure time for domestic flights and four (4) hours prior for international flights. If you choose not to check your luggage with Resort Airline Check-In, please have your luggage loaded on the motorcoach that will transport you to the airport. The Disney resort bell service luggage assistance is available upon request.
The Disney resorts provide complimentary airline check-in service to allow you to check your luggage and receive your airline boarding pass. This removes the need to check in at the airport for your departing flight. If you are flying on one of the participating airlines listed below, you are automatically enrolled in this service when you arrive through Disney’s Magical Express:
- Alaska Airlines
- American Airlines
- Delta Air Lines
- JetBlue Airways
- Southwest Airlines
- United Airlines
If your flight is eligible, your boarding pass will be delivered to your room on the morning of your departure. Pick up your boarding pass at the Resort Airline Check-In Desk no less than three hours prior to your flight. Flight departing prior to 8:00 am? Unfortunately, you must check in at the airport. Some guests may be required to check in at the airport and will be unable to use this service. Please note that restrictions and airline baggage fees apply.
Additional information about this service will be provided in your Disney’s Magical Express Transportation notice. For more information, you can also check out www.disneyworld.com/magicalexpress. For more information about Walt Disney World, please be sure to examine Walt Disney World.
